WBYA provides confidential, short-term, family-centered counseling and referral services for young people (16 and under) and their families, who live in Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake Village, or West Bloomfield Township. Non-residents will be referred to the appropriate Youth Assistance office. Referrals are accepted from school personnel, police, neighbors, and parents themselves with concerns about their child. There is a one-time $25.00 processing fee for all casework services.
The Oakland County Family Division Intake Unit diverts cases when, in their judgment, Youth Assistance services are most appropriate; there could be additional costs for court diversion agreements. Typical reasons for referral include: family conflict problems, school truancy, home incorrigibility, shoplifting/retail fraud, school or home problems, assault, alcohol or other drug abuse, and violations of local ordinances.
Please contact the WBYA office at (248) 592-1278 or email@example.com with questions.
West Bloomfield Youth Assistance was featured in the February 2021 issue of the West Bloomfield Beacon.
