Strengthening Families Through Community Involvement
WBYA provides confidential, short-term, family-centered counseling and referral services for young people (18 and under) and their families, who live in Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake Village, or West Bloomfield Township. Non-residents will be referred to the appropriate Youth Assistance office. Referrals are accepted from school personnel, police, neighbors, and parents themselves with concerns about their child. There are no fees for all casework services.
The Oakland County Family Division Intake Unit diverts cases when, in their judgment, Youth Assistance services are most appropriate; there could be additional costs for court diversion agreements. Typical reasons for referral include: family conflict problems, school truancy, home incorrigibility, shoplifting/retail fraud, school or home problems, assault, alcohol or other drug abuse, and violations of local ordinances.
Please contact the WBYA office at (248) 592-1278 or info@wbyouthassistance.org with questions.
