Led by Franki Bagdade (Owner of Franki's Academic and Behavior Consulting)
Franki has over 20 years of experience in the world of children with extra needs— non-traditional learning environments, camping and everything in between. In the more traditional environment, Franki has worked all types of classrooms from special needs resource room to general education, pre-school through high school as a teacher consultant, resource room coordinator, and professional development trainer.
Led by Dr. Brooke Weingarden (Child Psychiatrist at Birmingham Maple Clinic)
Dr. Brooke Weingarden is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She earned her medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Vallejo, California. Dr. Weingarden completed her residency at Henry Ford Hospital and fellowship at Wayne State University. She has a Masters in Public Health received from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Areas of specialization include psychiatric evaluations and management of children and adolescents. This includes early childhood evaluations, disruptive behavior disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, thought disorders, and ADHD.
Led by Barrie Seigle, LMSW
Barrie Siegle is a licensed master’s social worker with several years of experience working for various agencies, programs and clinics in the mental health field. Her experience includes working with adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health issues. She has a strong interest in working with the LGBTQ community and has spent the last couple of years working as the social worker for the Bnai Brith Youth Organization. She currently works at private practices in the area.
Led by Joan Baert (Executive Director of the Lakes area Community Coalition)
Joan Baert is the executive director of the Lakes Area Community Coalition. She has more than two decades of experience as a leader in schools and in the community. A resident of Wixom since 1997, Joan holds education degrees from Western Michigan University and University of Michigan and worked as a teacher in Huron Valley Schools for 21 years before first joining the coalition in 2018 as project coordinator. She brings a passion for helping kids make positive choices as well as empowering parents to help their kids succeed. Joan is passionate about leading the Lakes Area Community Coalition and using her skills to create a healthy, vibrant, drug-free community!
